If you set-up a server with a self-installed OS, RAID status monitoring should be configured manually.
Typically we monitor RAID status of your server and make sure that your disk drives are working seamlessly. However, if you decide to self-install an operating system through an out-of-band Console or use an ESXi hypervisor, you become responsible for monitoring your RAID status yourself.
